Typically, I encourage clients to plan two outfits for their first birthday sessions. Think of the first option as a way to capture a couple of frame-worthy, formal portraits. The second outfit I always encourage clients to have fun with this one. Add a tutu or suspenders, make it match the birthday theme or ask me about outfits in my client closet.
All milestone sessions include your choice of extras too. Before your session you'll be sent a questionnaire to share your preferences with me. Check out a few of the options below.

I love including these fun ways to shout that your baby is now a ONE year old! We can do one option or play with both the blocks and letters. It's always fun to see how your little one will interact with the letters too... will they climb the blocks, knock over the letters, crawl away from them? Let's find out!

I offer a range of props to add to your session. First, we will capture a few formal portraits of your little one. Props help to add interest to your photo while keeping them simple and timeless. It also gives your little one something to interact with showing off their personalities. A few props options that I offer include: a white kids chair, fringe blanket, neutral wood toy, birthday banner, and 'One' cake topper.

I like to think of these options as a simple cake stand and giving them space to freely play or placing them in a high chair so they are contained and you're attempting to keep them right by the cake. Both are great options and both will produce adorable photos of your little one enjoying their first sugar rush!

Make their birthday session unique by adding a few of their favorite things. This could be a blanket or item used for monthly growth photos, personalized name blocks/toy, birthday theme decor, family heirlooms, and more. This list could go on and on.
