The baby's due date will be reserved as the session date so we can be sure you're on the calendar. Once your baby is born, you’ll send me an email, and from there we’ll schedule a definitive session date and time within the first 14 days of your baby’s arrival. 

The sooner the better! Newborns tend to be sleepiest for the 2 weeks after birth making it easy to capture those sweet, sleepy portraits of your little one. 

Absolutely! This is an exciting, special time for the whole family and I want to help you remember everything.

Your session could take between 60 minutes to 2.5 hours. Baby will determine the pace of our session, I will provide pre-session guidance to make sure we make the most out of our time together. 

This type of newborn session aims to be as natural and timeless as possible. I let the baby lead that session with my guidance, allowing for more options in your newborn's photo gallery. Learn more about why I photograph with a baby-led approach. 

Typically, newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your home. I will guide you through the planning process to ensure we get the most out of our time together. I bring all the necessary supplies to your home and my set-up takes less than 15 minutes.

If I have an opening in my calendar I am happy to accommodate. Because my photography style is unposed newborn sessions, you don’t have to worry about getting them into certain poses but keep in mind they may not sleep as long after the suggested 14 day window. 

Also, I love 3 month sessions, when babies are a little more alert but still so sweet and new. 

I suggest wearing clothes that you feel comfortable in and can move freely. Dresses are the most flattering and forgiving for new moms, especially on camera. You are also welcome to borrow items from my Client Closet. I always recommend soft neutral tones, avoiding loud prints and patterns to keep the focus on your baby and your family. Once your session is booked, we will have a session planning consultation to answer any questions you may have. 

The goal of every DK Session Experience is a lighthearted session that captures the meaningful connections between you and your loved ones. I will always provide direction and feedback to make everyone feel comfortable, including your husband and little ones.
